Artsy, Spiritual Foothill Enclave
Pong Noi
At the foot of Doi Suthep, greener and a few degrees cooler than most of the city, reached via the Canal Road or the back soi running parallel. It lives artsy and spiritual: a mix of houses and condos tucked down narrow sois, hiding some stunning homes, with lush greenery making up for the premium on yard space. Somewhat walkable, with a motorbike preferred for the tight lanes. Anchored by three temples along Wat Umong Soi 4 (Wat Pong Noi, Wat Rampoeng, Wat Umong — both meditation centers), plus the Baan Kang Wat artist village and markets like Lansiew and Laan Din.
